Privacy policy
What data Duno collects, what it uses it for, and what you can do with it.
Draft pending legal review. Text in [brackets] is still to be completed.
1. Controller
The controller of your data is [name or legal entity], located at [address]. You can write to us at hola@tryduno.com. [Provisional email.]
2. What data we collect
Waitlist: your email address, your language, and the date you signed up. We store them in the database of our accounts and data provider.
Closed beta: if we invite you, your email is used to send you an access link (there are no passwords). For now your saved entries, progress, and votes stay in your browser and aren't sent to our servers.
When membership opens, we'll also keep your membership activity, for example which entries you save.
If we charge for membership, the payment will be processed by an outside provider. Duno won't store your full card details.
3. What we use it for
To tell you when your access or membership opens, give you access to the beta, answer your messages, and improve the service. We don't use your data for third-party advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only with providers that help us run the service, for example web hosting, email, user accounts, and payments [list of providers to be confirmed]. They process the data only for that purpose. We don't sell your data.
We may hand over data if a competent authority requires it under the law.
5. Cookies and storage
The site uses no tracking cookies or analytics tools. If you enter the beta, we use a session cookie that is necessary to keep you signed in; it isn't used to track you. If we add others later, we'll say so here and ask for your permission where the law requires it. [Verify before publishing.]
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account or are on the waitlist, and for any extra time the law requires. If you ask us to delete it, we do, except what we must keep for legal reasons. [Exact periods to be defined.]
7. Your rights
You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to certain uses, or withdraw your consent. Write to the contact email and we'll answer within a reasonable time. [Adjust deadlines and rights to the applicable law.]
8. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections and restricted access. No system is perfect, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Minors
Duno isn't aimed at minors and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a minor gave us data, write to us and we'll delete it.
10. International transfers
Some providers may store or process data outside your country. In those cases we aim for them to keep an adequate level of protection. [Detail when providers are chosen.]
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll publish the new version with its date and, if the change is important, let you know.
12. Contact
For any question about your data write to hola@tryduno.com.
